Aren Yeranosyan: “I Never Stop Learning”

In the heated battle between economist, math teacher, and robotics specialist, the latter is the winner for Aren Yeranosyan, the Mechatronics Program Manager at the COAF SMART Center in Lori. But it’s still too early to announce the ultimate outcome of the “war of the professions.”

Aren Yeranosyan is from Yeghengut village in Lori. He confesses that he never stops learning, and immediately lists a number of fields and professions he explores and experiments with on his own. It should be no surprise that Aren’s next profession is not too far off in the distance.

Although he is in the business of exact sciences, Aren, paradoxically, believes in destiny. He provides two recent examples from his life: one, when he met his future wife and instantly knew that she would be the one he would build a family with; the other, when the position of Mechatronics Program Manager at SMART remained open for a while because, as Aren puts it, “that job was waiting for me.”

“At SMART, I have everything I love: the opportunity to gain new skills, to work with children, to learn from them, and to be endlessly recharged,” Aren shares with great enthusiasm.

Before joining SMART, he had already managed to work in Dsegh as a teacher-leader with the “Teach for Armenia” program. A new field, new children to work with, and a new community were all tempting features for a new venture for Aren. Alongside working in the school, Aren also began teaching robotics at the “Armath” engineering lab in the town of Tumanyan, Lori.

“In any job, children are the most important thing for me. To this day, I’ve prioritized projects where I have the chance to pass on my knowledge and learn from the new generation,” Aren concluded.
